Fall in love with your fall wedding! Fall is a fun time when it comes to color, as the changing leaves really put on a show with their deep reds and oranges. Bring your colors to life by incorporating them into different aspects of your wedding, like your bridesmaids & groomsmen outfits, florals, linens, centerpieces, and cake. Wedding Wingman Ashley McHone of Always Flawless Planning + Design shares three color palette options inspired by autumn – without feeling like you’re having a Thanksgiving- or Halloween-themed wedding.
Fall Pinks
This first option incorporates deep colors of oranges and greens. But to steer away from an overly Thanksgiving feel, Ashley suggests incorporating a deep pink. It adds a romantic vibe and breaks up the traditional colors.
Fall Earthy
This option again uses a lot of deep colors, such as bold reds, oranges, and yellows. Ashley recommends playing around with adding shades of taupe and brown to help balance out the oranges that may feel too much like Halloween.
Fall Neutrals
Ashley’s third example is perfect for the couple who wants a color palette that’s inspired by the fall season but is not looking for anything too bold. Neutral colors such as whites and ivories are accompanied by different shades of taupes and browns to keep that fall feeling.
While these are all super-chic options for fall wedding colors, remember that first and foremost you need to love the colors. “It’s important that you always choose colors that you love and that you’re going to be excited about for your wedding,” she says.
