Summer is the most popular time for couples to get married, so if you’re wondering what colors you should choose for your summer wedding, you’re not alone. The good news is that almost anything goes for summer. Set the tone with bright colors that pop, or choose softer neutrals that lend a more classic feel, and incorporate the hues into different aspects of your wedding, from bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits to florals to linens to the cake. Wedding Wingman Ashley McHone of Always Flawless Planning + Events shares two different color palette options perfect for summer nuptials.
Summer Bright
This first color palette might be what you think of when you envision summer, as it bursts with bright, bold colors. Similar to spring color palettes, warm colors are used, but instead of pastels, Ashley chose vibrant tones of red, pink, orange, and yellow. These bright colors convey a fun, tropical feel, while keeping the elegance.
Summer Neutral
Another route Ashley found works well for summer is a neutral color family. This works best when the main colors are white and green, and another color acts as a supporting character. The accent could be a light blush, blue, or taupe – the options are as vast as your color preference. This color palette works well for summer, but its classic and timeless vibe can work for any season.
While these are great options for your summer wedding colors, Ashley urges you to remember “it’s important that you always choose colors that you love and you’re going to be excited about for your wedding.” Make sure to check out her Expert’s Guide To Choosing Your Wedding Colors.
